I have fire suppression in all the cars I own that are rare or more volatile in nature. Some cars I can't imagine owning without an emergency suppression lever. An extinguisher at the very least but having multiple spray points in the engine bay will help reduce far more significant damage. They are easy to install and can save your baby.

Gosh, my brother has them in the rarer cars we share that my father left us. We have three 356s actually and they don't have a system. To be honest they never seemed to worry us, my father had this one for a long time and never any issues, they aren't driven as much anymore of course. We have a couple old Jaaaags that have it, for obvious reasons haha, My brother has an M1 Procar that for sure has it, he has some Lancias, a Fulvia, Beta and Delta Integrale with them I know. My 7 has it, my Land Cruisers have temperature monitoring only with an extinguisher on board. I'm in Japan most of the time and we don't have many cars there, my 930 does. At home with my brother an Urraco, a Gullwing my father bought in 1972, a Merc 450 SLC, Saab 99 rally car, a Bizzarrini 5300, Chevron B8. Maybe more he did, I know these do.

My father was and my brother is a rally fanatic, I was more interested in road racing but I like rallying. My father would go around Europe on business and usually take the train south, he would often come back north with a car! He bought the 69 GT500 we have in Germany from a US Airforce Officer, it was originally from Shelby's South Lake Tahoe dealership, I still have the paperwork and business card in the glove box. The 356 here you can see still has Dutch plates, it has Swedish now but we still have those plates.

My father bought it years ago, he was not poor if thats what you mean, I share them. He was involved in heavy industrial development in Sweden after WW2. I could list some other cars in the collection that might make you faint. They are in a climate controlled hanger at my family home, where my brother now lives in Sweden. There used to be a big barn, but it was torn down and replaced by the more modern hanger to keep them.

That is fantastic. The 5300 is one of my favorite cars. Giotto Bizzarrini was a pure genius. And I'm not stoping you from making me faint...

It gets a little crazy when I mention them, there is an Opel GT Conrero, a Merc 300C estate, a black fintail Merc estate with red interior, a few old mercs some diesel some petrol, I DD a diesel, an A110, several old Saabs, Volvos and Alfas, we have one of every regular variation Land Cruiser FJ40, 55, 60 and I have an 80. He has a couple Porsches, I had a 78 SC but I have an 89 930 now. There are various pre war cars, some restored and some not running, its a jumble. I have my collection of German aircraft parts in there, Finland had lots of bits around after the war and I kept quite a bit, my first job was at Saab with aircraft so I obviously had an interest and I went on to get my license.

My brother is fairly paranoid since one of his friends had three cars stolen, one was an EB110 that was recovered fortunately. I might be able to find some pictures of them at meetings and rallies. He goes to some of the big ones each year and runs a couple. I am mostly in Japan and San Francisco so I can't walk over and take some pictures. I have thought about having a professional take some pictures for an article, leaving out the location of the building. Maybe I can get my son to do it, he is there more often. I'm at my daughters house in CA now, I am going back to Japan tomorrow actually.

You're awesome.
No seriously, that's really fucking cool. I'm glad there are enough people like you and your family that can keep the car hobby alive like that.

I worked with electronics mostly, I later worked with race cars and I retired in 2008 completely. I worked with solar panels and other solar technology for a non profit organization for purifying water and solar cooking in 3rd world countries a bit as well.

I do get alot of people who didn't take me seriously for a while because I was pretty young. People are reluctant to buy car photos from a kid who can't even drive yet.
